Sessions58@The Vinyard, Bristol, Virginia is situated at the crossroads of Interstate 81 and Virginia route 58 'The Crooked Road', aptly named by Virginia Governor Mark Warner as an historical highway for country music since it marks the Birthplace of Country Music with the 1927 Victor recordings by The Carter Family. Sessions58 features live music by local bands and musicians as well as regional and national talents. The twin city of Bristol, Virginia-Tennessee is also home to the Rhythm & Roots Festival held in downtown Bristol in September of each year.
The Vinyard Restaurant was originally a fine dining Italian restaurant with Mediterranean architecture; minus the arbors and grapevines, it now features walls of hand troweled brick that provide an aire of intimacy and great acoustics. An outdoor patio provides a casual dining atmosphere and a home for the annual Fourth of July Pig Roast. The five acres adjacent will provide for venue expansion.
Sessions58@The Vinyard has among its list of dignitaries world famous musicians, actors, and politicians. Our list of notables includes Bob Dylan, Ralph Stanley, Charlie Daniels, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Allison Kraus, Marcel Marceau, Robert Wagoner, Hal Linden, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, The Stonemans, June Carter Cash, Jeanette Carter, Rascal Flats, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Rogers, three recent governors of Virginia and many others.
