The Autumn Leaves Cafe is a 'coffeehouse' on the mezzanine of a grand new 'Used Book' store. The atmosphere is for true music-lovers, clean air, clean tables, clean floor. It is even 'audiologically' clean--since there is virtually no background noise people are reluctant to even get out of their chairs lest they squeak and break the mood.

We are beginning to attract an audience of regulars who come just to enjoy the music, knowing that it will be good music even if they've never heard of the group. Because our music is from 6:30 or 7 until 8:30 or 9pm the audience includes many young couples with their children or hard-working middle-aged folks who used to enjoy clubbing but can't because of the job in the morning or not wanting to look for a babysitter.

The acoustics are so good that most have found the best alternative is to keep it simple and leave the amps at home. Book store customers downstairs can hear clearly and enjoy the music without even seeing the band!!!
