Swill is a heavy/groove band located in Lafayette, LA that rocks harder than Marion Barry on a Friday night! The band consists of 5 gigolos: Sancho (vocalz and djembe); Ballz (guitars, side vocalz); Bone (bass); Johnny Post (drums); and the swillspinner (turntables).

Swill is a thrash/funk/groove juggernaut. Their debut cd, entitiled 'Gold Medalist', is a fine example of their older work. However, the newer (not yet recorded) songs best represent their ever-evolving musical prowess. With styles reminiscent of (yet distinctively different than) Snot and Deftones, their newer, funkier material has earned the self-righteous dub: 'Gigolo-Core'. Gigolo-Core music is an emalgamation of thick, aurally molesting guitars; solid, rhythmic bass lines; Dyn-o-mite death-defying drums; raw, uncomprimising vocals; and needle-thrashing turntablistics. Driven by thrash and funk overtones, swill is sure to make jaws hit the floor (and shit hit the fan) after just one live performance.

Swill has opened for such National Acts as the Phunk Junkeez, Nothing Face, DRoWNING PooL, and Econoline Crush. They currently have a stranglehold on the Lafayette area 'rock(?)' scene and play regularly in the area. Dallas is becoming a new venture for the group with a show on Halloween of this at the Vampire Lounge. The band is presently looking to expand its geographical horizons and book more out-of-town gigs, however, it seems there aren't many clubs which pay top dollar for excitingly new original bands.
