It's very difficult to catogorize Stevie due to the wide variety of styles that he goes through in one night but maybe this will help give you a better idea of the man. Stevie started performing as a solo acoustic artist in 1991 after 7 years of playing in various bands, and in that time he has honed his art to where it's second nature to him. When you see a Stevie show you don't just 'watch' him play because he will do his best to get you involved. He has a very sharp wit and it comes across beautifully through the interaction he has with the crowd. You can hear Stevie through his music on his self produced, recorded, and mastered CD. But you will never fully appreciate what he is about unless you see him live.
Stevie has been performing mainly in Okinawa Japan with short stints in Mainland Japan, and during this time he has developed quite a local following. 'Especially with the local American Military crowd.' He had his own radio show on FM Champula. He's been on dozens of TV shows and specials. One thing for sure is that this guy is versitle. Not to mention that he has been playing live events no less than 4 times a week since 1994.
Stevie has not held a day job since 1991 simply because entertaining through music is not just a job for him, it's a lifestyle. It's been difficult to hold Stevie to the 'acoustic' catagory because when you say acoustic people automatically think soft and mellow. Although that is also within his reach, he will not hesitate to let it all hang out and show you what playing guitar is all about.
