something for the weekend is a 5 piece band from wakefield. something for the weekend was formed before most of the members had even picked up an instrument by shan wise(guitar), daniel conyers(bass), sean pearce(drums( and danny fowles(guitar) but oficially started in march 2005. Just 4 weeks before their first gig they found their vocalist jamie brookes who has been with the band ever since.since then something for the weekend have written a handful of tunes, played a bunch of gigs in and around wakefield/huddersfield area and recorded themseves a CD. the band recruited their newest member aiden hatfield(guitar/vocals) anter original guitarist daniel fowles left the band. since then the band have been going strong and have been hard at work writing new material.
