polaris is a christian electronic band from north/east ohio. we only use old synthesizers from the 70's (moog, roland, sequential, korg) to make all of our music. we've
been writting and perfoming music
with synthesizers since 1996. WE ARE NOT TECHNO. not that techno is bad or anything, thats just not what we play. we don't use turn tables or samplers or anything like that. all analoge, we only use equiptment that was made before we were born. we're recorded a few demo tapes and such, we'll have a bunch of new stuff any time now. we've opend for band such as: joy electric, arkport, 7-10 split, 10 to one, glen, the dragonflys, capt. nemo, zero hour, mint, and a few others. we write songs about whatever we want; God, love, etc...
thats about it, check us out.
press reviews:
Polaris is one of the most talented and
ingenuitive of the up and coming synth
rock generation. I saw them at the Heartland
Fine Arts Festival, and they opened with
some amazing songs. One was a newer one that
they unveiled especially for the occasion,
and another was their classic hit, Stars
Above Antarctica. They are one of the most
truly fascinating bands of the new generation,
and I'm truly proud to know them.
