Dog rust was formed in 1998 and after various changes in members has gone back to the original 3 that had formed it. We write our music as it comes to us. We don't try to force anything. Alot of the music is very dark and moody. Our live show is not flashy. We just play the music that we love and hope that other people can feel the same way.

John Hooper plays electric/acoustic guitar and sings. Dustin Fennessy play bass guitar and also sings. Tyler Shaul play drums and percussion. All have their own distinctive style which helps to make the complex and dark mix that is dog rust.

During the summer of 2001 the band has finally settled on it's members and plans to start recording it's 2nd full length album. Instead of going into an outside studio the band has purchase it's own recording equipment and is planning on producing the cd by itself. They plan to have the cd out by late August.

Dog Rust is now on pace to take on the world.
