my name is danny flanigan i'm a 36 year old singer/songwriter from louisville i play guitar i'm married to joanna our 6 year old son's name is benjamin we have a new baby – his name is quillen we live in the house i grew up in joanna is a parallegal i work at a cdc in louisville i've written about 120 songs - about 90 good ones i perform in the midwest region regularly clubs - coffee shops - bookstores

i play solo/acoustic and with my 6 piece band called the rain chorus drums-bass-lead guitar-mandolin-female vocalist the folks in the band are my best friends - they are gifted players i've recorded 5 cd's the newest is the best - vernon's mud and other favorites (spring, 2000) we’re working on an album now – due out early fall of 2002 – pretty stoked about it

i get regular airplay from 91.9 wfpk (louisville) and 92.3 wtts (bloomington/indpls) i opened for bob dylan a couple of times - and shawn colvin - subdudes tuck and patti - the bodeans - patti griffin - jonatha brooke - del amitri - etc. i believe i'm on the earth to write, sing, play and record my songs i believe my songs make the world a better place i touch people with my music - they tell me so my songs are inspired by real life experiences

i prefer quality over quantity i'm not mad that i'm not rich and famous i'm not unhappy i'm not satisfied though - because of the 6 billion people on the earth - only about 5,000 have even one of my albums i want to make a living from my music - it would gain me inner peace i'm serious about my music i don't do drugs - i drink only socially - i'm not lazy or crazy if you like what i do - spread the word thank you so much for taking the time to check it all out
