Zombie Safari Park are a band blending metal, funk, rock and punk together. Formed in May 2003 in Portrush, Northern Ireland, the 6 members quickly became established as one of the best up-and-coming bands in the country.
Z.S.P is made up of Tony Wright on vocals, Andrew Hasson on lead guitar, Stephen Donaghy (donkey) on bass guitar, Rory Friers on 2nd lead guitar, Chris Wee on drums, and Darren Johnston on rhythm guitar. The band has been fused together from the ashes of other bands in the area, and thus, has a strong backbone on which to blend the many influences together to get a new and improved sound.
From the very start, Z.S.P have had great support from the people of Northern Ireland, and have played with many great bands in the local scene. Indeed, the band have played gigs in a host of venues and citys, ranging the length and breadth of N.Ireland. Local gigs will continue, and a couple of tours have been planned outside N.I for 2004.
The band released an E.P entitled 'Let's Boogie' in 2003, and the feedback from the public has encouraged them enough that a new E.P is set to be recorded and released in 2004, containing a more structured and improved sound.
