A blues based rock band from the Southeast was formed by Zip Gibson, the former lead guitarist for Steve Earle and The Dukes. Zip Gibson has been listed in the Marquis Who's Who three times, Who's Who in Entertainment 3rd edition, Who's Who in the South and Southwest 24th edition, Who's Who in the World 13th edition. The Zip Gibson band made its debut opening for Peter Criss and Zack Wilde. After touring and recording for 10 years with a Hall of Fame artist, Steve Earle, multiple appearances on national TV programs such as David Letterman, Nashville Now and MTV, Zip Gibson formed the ZGB to focus on his own music and song writing. With roots from folk, blues, jazz, rock and world beat, the band has developed
a sound that will be around a long time.
With their REVOLUTION CD produced by Richard Bennett and Rocky Schnaars, there is in the world of disposable CDs a nonperishable product. A hard hitting groove with melody, lyricsand 'Lennon-like' delivery. The band pushes the limits of what is and what can be. They are doing every thing your not supposed to and making it work. In one year, they released nine CDs. I don't think your supposed to do that, but they did and pulled it off, too. Two of these CDs are rock and jazz fusion instrumentals, JAZZ HEAD and GTH. I'm not sure, but I believe that is against the contest rules as well. And then get this, another illegal maneuver, they released two blues CDs, THE HOUSTON HARDCORE BLUEZ, total raw roots blues with an edge and TOO UGLY, a Memphis, Texas mix featuring Jimm Ottey, drummer for James Brown, Little Richard, Taj Mahal and Dave Pomeroy, Bassist for Trisha Yearwood.
I suggest you see the ZGB before they are arrested by the music police and sentenced to do time on some Siberian 'indie' label or beaten in some back alley by the radio cops whilethey are told they
have the right to remain silent.
The ZGB is

I think its only a matter of time before you own their CD,
and they own your ears.
