Upon Shadows was formed in 2002 as a trio.In Montevideo, Uruguay. Their music style could be considered Dark Metal, and is the result of the influences of its three members, who have always been very active in the Uruguayan metal scene.

The band is: Marcelo Aguilar in guitar and vocals, Natalia Arocena in bass and Tamara Picardo in keyboards and drums programing. Their most recent previous musical activity was: Marcelo's: Thy Dominion (Black Metal), Natalia's: Sigma Sentinel (Heavy Metal), Tamara's: Eclampsy (Death Metal).

A few month after being born as a band, Upon Shadows started to record their first album, which was mixed and mastered by themselves. They also designed and edited the album, producing a very personal piece of work. In this CD you can find 14 tracks (around 45 min.), with a wide range of keyboards efects, giving the most soft and melancholic melodies to the hard weight of guitar, bass and vocals.

The atmosphere of both music and lyrics have a conceptual thematic. It's a CD that talks about magic and myths, nostalgia and legend.
