Uncle Sid's Music Farm from Omaha, Nebraska grew from four close friends jamming on Saturday nights, to seven musicians from all different backgrounds, creating a style all our own. We combined the traditional bass, guitar, and drums with trombone, saxophone, and world percussion resulting in a jazz influenced jam band.
There is no one style to describe us. Most people call us jazz because we have horns, but we are everything. We cross 60's country with 70's funk, add some bop, and throw in some good time rock 'n roll. We are known for drawn out jams in the middle of well-structured songs making certain that the same song will not sound the same twice.
We have found our niche in the mid-west playing in venues that support jam bands and we have a small following. We currently have one home made CD that we sell at cost. Money does nothing but ruin music, our lifeblood of inter-thoughts. In a nutshell Uncle Sid's Music Farm is about having fun, making friends, and harvesting sound.
