Two A Day
Band Biography

  • From: Seattle, WA
  • No. of Members: 4
  • Year Established: 1999

When you're playing a type of music that no one can define, you are constantly walking a thin line between love and hate. You're always preying on people to leave behind the standards that they judge their likes and dislikes. Fortunately for us, we have always had the ability to win over fans who can appreciate our music and us for what we are. It really amazes me the diversity of fans that we've had the opportunity to play for: punks, rockers, geeks, wierdos, and everything in between... ' - Wes

What contributes most to a band’s success? Maybe talent or luck but what about that story when a stranger seemingly out of the blue rides into town, and brings the rapture. Recently relocating from southern California, Two A Day have come to Seattle with several years of playing experience behind them with the intention of rocking very hard. The guys of Two A Day are no joke; they are veteran musicians who take their work very seriously and are noted for making an immediate impact on the listener.

for the Sound (2002) after spending several years of touring up and down California playing shows that garnered them a fan-base which voted them the best band of California’s Central Coast in 2002. Comprised of Joe Cassese (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Nick Cassese (drums/vocals), John Correa (bass), and Wesley Buckwalter (lead guitar, vocals), Two A Day has received critical praise; Glen Starkey wrote in the San Luis Obispo New Times (October 3,2002), “It’s not the sophomoric rants of angry young men. It’s not the garage-y wailing of amateur musicians. In short, it’s not the typical pretentious twaddle delivered by too many local bands all over the world. Instead, its mature work by a band with something to say and the musical chops to say it.”

Together since the year 2000, Two A Day released Wait While deadly serious when it comes to music, the guys of Two A Day have an indomitable sense of humor and take their adage from a certain unmentionable record set by basketball great Wilt Chamberlain. The Cassese brothers hail from New York State , but moved to California in 1997 with one goal in mind: become successful musicians. Mission accomplished. Wes and John, life long California citizens, now join the Cassese brothers on a rock n' roll journey into the future and a seemingly strange land; Nick Cassese explained, “We've taken what we really liked from our first album and have been experimenting with that direction. We're just trying to get better while not wearing our influences on our sleeve.” (Bad Religion, Jawbreaker, and Dinosaur Jr.) Now based in Seattle, Two A Day promises to satisfy serious music fans looking for an original sound that delivers the dynamic, in your face live performance that is their calling card.
