Torn Veil was founded in April 2001. We began writing original music immediately and played our first live show in June 2002. The reason Torn Veil exists is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to a world of darkness, and we use the musical gifts that God has given us to achieve this goal.

TV's original (and still current) lineup is: Eric Phillippe on lead vocals, Jody Torpy on drums, Jason Hyde on lead guitar/bgv, and Alan McCord on bass/bgv. Our music is primarily of a metal influence, but we also incorporate elements such as progressive (Dream Theater) and classic rock (Kansas, Journey) into our sound.

Currently we have a 5-song CD available. Our goal is to enter the studio some time this year and record a full-length album which would more accurately reflect our current musical direction.

So far 2004 has seen an increase in activity on the live front. We hope to see this trend continue into the rest of the year so as to allow us to continue getting our name out there. We have shared the stage with acts such as Disciple on several occasions, and continue to seek opportunities to play and share our message. We are ready and willing to travel for gigs, so don't hesitate to contact us about playing at your venue or festival.
