The Whitefields play a mix of electric blues and 60's psychedelia. Their music has been called 'Blues based Cosmic American Music'. Guitarist/song writer Robert Lee Whitefield has toured with over a dozen Grammy winning acts such as Rick Derringer, Molly Hatchet, Vanilla Fudge, Strawberry Alarm Clock, the UP, the MC5, Psychedelic Stooges, Blue Cheer, Blackfoot, David Allan Coe, Bellamy Brothers, Confederate Railroad and many more.....

The Whitefields are about to release their second independent production 'Lost in a Cosmic Thing'. Robert Lee Whitefield's song writing is a throwback to the best of the 60's bands of which many he has toured and partied with. The Whitefield’s have been compared to Wings, the Moody Blues, Buffalo Springfield, Donovan, and the Byrds but with a predominant 'cosmic' blues flavor that rises above other bands in their genre.

'The depth of the blues, combined with introspective and colorful imagery of psychedelia, has produced a unique sound from the Whitefield's. It can best be described as 'blues based cosmic American music'.

The Whitefield's are an independent band playing outside the musical mainstream of today's pop and rock.
