The Stealing Fossils Band was formed in 1995 by James Booth of Omaha Nebraska. It was formed primarily because a close friend and clarvoint (Elias Buchanan) proclaimed Booth should be writing music and playing in a live forum. Booth who had played piano as a child respectfully told him he didn't have the ability to bust out playing and his keyboard ability was also limited. The rebutal was that Booth was to play Guitar and get after it, Buchanan told him he knew how to play and had for several lifetimes. So ....6 months later after forming a band he began this endeavour...and has toured the midwest for the last 6 yrs. The Bands success has moved from Bar Room Covers with originals in every set, to the larger venues,to radio, to having their music in film.
