My band started when me and some of my freinds went to concerts and there were always bands there we didn't like so we started talking about 'The perfect ska band.' under our defonitions. So we started talking more and then we decided that the only way to get our interpretaion of a perfect ska band would be to make our own.

So at the time me and my freinds all had these pins that were checkered. So we decided on the name The Squares. The band has 6 members Steve-Keyboard, vocals, alto sax Jesse (me)- Tenor sax, vocals Dustin-Trumpet, vocals Gentry-Guitar, vocals Zack-Bass, vocals Robert-Drums

Our sound consists of the Two-tone era. and a little influence from third wave. Our lyrics have many different styles. Some are like The Aquabats. Others are sad, some are just about stuff....you know, ska stuff.

We have some great talent in our band. And alot of enthousiasm. (spelling?) We love to see the crowd having fun. That's what our music is about. We also love to see all sorts of people at our shows, not only rudeboys and rudgirls, But punks, and swing cats too. We have a little of everything in our style. But always ska is present in ALL out songs.......Rudies Stay Rude Stay Rebel. And we don't sell out.
