The Silent Groove Formed in October of 2000 at the Hartt School of music in Hartford Ct. They have quickly developed a fresh cutting edge style incorporating hip-hop, jazz, funk and reggae.

TSG consists of Matt 'Zigga' Zeigler as vocal MC and Guitarist, Omer Shemesh on the Fender Rhodes, Mike Straus on bass, and Paul Miniero on the drum set. Our sets are showcases not only for our songwriting but also vocal and instrumental improvisation. The sound is a mixture of hip-hop, jazz, funk, ska, and rock. TSG has an origional sound and positive Vibe.

TSG began playing in Hartford Ct and has since expanded to PA, NYC, Mass, RI, VT and are creating quite a buzz on the east coast independent music scene. TSG has released 2 four song demo's wich can be downloaded off of their website and are planing on releasing a full length live album by october 2002.
