After playing they're first gig at the Knitting Factory in New York City, the owner had this to say about them:
'The New Bridge Trio is an eclectic mix of modern classical music, ambient, jazz, world, and avante garde. Taking advantage of the unique sounds of classical guitar, double bass, and non-conventional percussion, they create an overall effect unlike any other.'
The three members of the New Bridge Trio have been growing up together since their childhood years and playing music for just as long. Many years of practice, band switches, and high school gigs, have developed into an amazing product of the progressive rock genre.
After playing as an electric band, they decided to make a memorable change to acoustic. Going from an electric guitar, 4-string electric bass, and a Neil Peart-like drum kit to a classical guitar, upright bass, and a legendary percuission setup was a move that would change everything. Songs became tighter, jams became more meaningful, and the fan base was growing constantly.
The New Bridge Trio is at the start of a era. Live recordings of them have been slowly growing since their emergence and circulation is starting to grow. The future looks bright for this college-aged band.
