The Knifing Assessment was formed in early summer 2001 out of the ashes of an old cheesy punk band. We play a steadily maturing set of music that covers many styles. We play music that comes straight from the soul..unpredictable, short, symphonies of true feelings.

We gather influences from all music. We all listen to things like AFI, Set Fire to Flames, 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Cursive, Dashboard Confessional, From Autumn to Ashes, In Flames, Further Seems Forever, Cave In, The Darkest Hour, Communist Conspiracy Rhythms, Iggy Pop, ska, punk, classical, spanish guitar, blues, everything. And it all ties into out music somehow.
