The Jerks grew out of frendship and love for music. Most of us have known each other since Jr. High And some of us have been buds since 1st grade! We all have been involved with music and playing since we were old enough to stand. The band settled on the ska venue of music because of the mood and the message. The upbeat style and message of brotherhood is where it's at.

Olympia is becoming the scene for indie music; lots of punk, alternative, ska, and you-name-it stuff going on here. Being close the hot Seattle music scene gives us a lot of opportunities to work at gettingour music out to the people. We really enjoy the crowds, the energy of the music is so much better. Playing in new places gives us that new kick that makes us show up for practice every week - even tho we are spread out over the NW attending college-working, etc. We can still pull off a gig and a practice every week.
