The Idle Rich wish to attain the 'Noblese Oblige' we aspire to; to grant the working man (and woman)a musical experience that provides nourishment to the soul, comfort from the cold ethernet, and protection from the harsh music elements. In other words, 'we CHOOSE to dream'.

Rather then just looking to 'fit', we choose to follow the muse into those many areas that are hard to label. From topical to biblical, the lyrics are witty & absorbing. From blues to prog to pop, we share 'experiences' as well as music.

Guitars, drummer, keyboard,& bass each define their status per song. Centered in theory, the music leverages each individual instrument in different ways throughout each song. Sprinkle in sax and harp when necessary so as to be seasoned to taste.
