The FOBES are a five piece jazz-rock band from Connecticut. Some have described our sound as 'Zappa meets Steely Dan'. Our sound is eclectic ranging from rock to funk to jazz to ska/reggae to classical and blurring the lines between these styles. Lyrically the FOBES use humor and satire to make observations of the world around them.

The FOBES in it's current gestation were formed in December of 2002. Since then the band has been gigging regularly throughout CT and in NYC and are branching out to Mass and Rhode Island. Our shows have gained the reputation for being very spontaneous, never repeating a setlist. Everything the band does and says on stage is very humorous and very tongue in cheek. Crowd participation is always encouraged and the fans always laugh and have fun.

The FOBES have recently finished their first studio LP called 'The Wrecking Machine' which has nine musically diverse and lyrically perverse tracks. The disc is being prepared for reproduction and is expected in March.
