Glenn Gillis & The Blues Experiment was formed in july 2002 with four of Quebec's most prodigious blues musicians. After just four months, the band was already on the road giging from town to town.Their reptoire consisted of many blues artists such as: Albert King, S.R.V, Baul Butterfield Blues band...however, Glenn Gillis always enjoyed interpreting those songs in his own way which captures the crowd's attention. A year later, Glenn Gillis added his own compositions. In the fall of 2004 The band had their own CD out called THE LETTER D which was up for grabs at the 'Lys Blues' gala which took place at the Club Soda in Montreal for blues album of the year.
The band consists of Glenn Gillis leed singer and guitar leed and rythum, Barry Nameth drums and vocals, René Gignac bass and vocals, and Normand Lacroix leed guitar. Each musician has a ruinous background. In 2005 the band again had their name up at the 'Lys Blues' for Artistic performance of the year.
The year 2006 a new CD is born called 'BAD TIMES' Their two first launchings are successfull. Their CD can be heard from blues radio's all over the provence of Quebec and Ontario.Differing from their last CD, this one is particular. The two composers:Glenn,and Normand, have decieded to add a tuch of folk pop to their feeling, which had a positive reaction.
