The Beguiled is a three-piece band based in London, Ontario. All original material is written and composed by Scott Ryan, singer and guitarist in The Beguiled. Scott and Shaylih are brother and sister and have been playing together since childhood. In live performance, Vincenzo Iannone plays both bass and drums simultaneously without electronic assistance. This unique technique creates a particularly tight rhythm section.

The sound of The Beguiled is partly characterized by Scott and Shaylih's distinctive 2-part vocal harmonies. Their style defies any easy musical categorization, yet shows influences from the Jazz, Rock, Pop and Folk traditions.

The Beguiled's sound is clean, tight and original. Scott's lyricism and musicality, his poetry and powerful performance is wonderfully complimented by Shaylih's unusual vocal stylings, haunting harmonies and flexibility on the penny-whistle. All this is masterfully backed by the dexterity of Vincenzo's work on the bass and drums.
