Terre Differenti is the name of a musical project conceived and
developed by Fabio Armani, an Italian composer who lives in Rome.
Terre Differenti Records is an independant record label whose aims are the exploration of new musical world and to extends the musical idioms
of world beat, jazz and new instrumental music.
To define the musical style of TERRE DIFFERENTI it is not an easy task.
Many different elements contribute to it: from electronic and ambient to jazz influences, from world and early music to trance and new age. A
good definition could be World Fusion Music.
The band is newly born, in fact, it was founded in 1998. But, the history of the musical collaboration among its members dates back to ten years ago, when Fabio Armani, the leader, and Alessandro D'Aloia, the drummer, played in their own jazz quartet. Other musicians joined the
band after their collaboration to another project called Advena Avis, where medieval music is merged with electronic and ethnic elements.
The group members are:
Fabio Armani Plays keyboards, samplers and electronics. He composes and arranges all the music of Terre Differenti.
Alessandro D'Aloia is the drummer and percussionist, he provides the rhythmic engine. Alessandro contributes also as a composer (La notte e il sole)
Francisco Micheli Comes from Brazil and plays acoustic and electric guitars.
Antonio Addamiano Plays recorders and other ancient wind instruments like the bombarda.
Saleh Tawil Comes from Siria, He plays a wonderful instrument called oud.
Marco Conti plays soprano and tenor saxophones.
Anna De Martini is the vocalist who brings us emotions from ancient worlds.
