Ten Months Later a five member band from Louisville, Kentucky formed in 1999 and is currently enjoying a new found success and status as 'To Be Contended With' artists. Ten Months Later and their debut CD Sadie Hawkins Dance are fast becoming a Louisville favorite with an ever growing fan base.
The songs of Ten Months Later have a distinct 'Americana' edge that reflects lead singer/songwriter Randy Arnold's early experiences such as working the graveyard shift as a disc jockey for a rural country radio station. 'Staying up all night listening to songs by Merle Haggard, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Johnny Horton, and Marie Osmond really helped warp Randy's formative years. According to Randy, the best stuff at the station were the records we couldn't play- Chick Willis, Steve Earle, Gun Club. Free access to this type of music served as pay off for having to listen to 'Don't step on my Tutu' or 'God bless the USA' 2 to 3 times a night.'
According to the 1999 Music issue of LEO Magazine, Ten Months Later is 'highly recommended.' The band has been featured in two live performances on the WLKY-TV Morning show. Ten Months Later was also selected to appear in the Unsigned Primetime Live Final Four Showcase, a year long band contest supported by local radio station 100.5 The Fox and the WFPK (91.9 FM) Live Lunch Broadcast Series.
