Piece by piece, four guys have fought to stay alive in the fierce competition of shitty bands, while they have also managed to keep improving themselves by adding new players and fresh material. THE O.F.R. started back in 1996 as a bunch of kids with an inspiration to make kids laugh and have fun. Going from guitarist to guitarist, bassist to bassist, and drummer to drummer, finally the band is set and ready to go.
Frontman Greg Haupt has been the center of attention with off-the-wall lyrics and a larger-than-life stage presence. Chris Bosslet, the beat box extraordinaire, has provided the super solid bass lines and stellar vocals, AC/DC style. Putting the icing on the cake is Kent Bourzikas with catchy guitar riffs and superior vocal harmonies. The lastest addition, Jason Hilliard, hitting shit, pushes THE O.F.R. to a superflouos level of pure excellence by providing the ever needed drum rhythm.
The past year has been filled with recording, recording, and more recording. After finishing a full studio album with a different drummer, called 'House, Tree, Person.', a new EP will soon be shipped out to record companies across America. While St. Louis remains the biggest following for the band, www.AudioGalaxy.com has giving oppurtunities for THE O.F.R. to advance at international levels with guestbook entries from Norway and U.K.
The Internet and radio have giving new light to new fans and more exposure. Look for up coming shows around the mid-west and for summer tours all along the coasts.
