In the year 2000, Supathrive exploded onto the Arizona music scene with the power, passion, and fury of a desert monsoon.
Releasing their first nine-song, all original demo before the year was through, they use the same speed, conviction, and energy when it comes to performing. You can find them headlining in clubs throughout the Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Scottsdale area.
The Supathrive sound is a combination of rock, ska, and punk. They have been compared to Sublime, Green Day, 311, The Police, and the Chili Peppers.
The band is made up of three members hailing from different parts of the country. They have listened to, played, and loved music for their entire lives. This creates a bond among them that carries through to the music they create.
Scott Alderette is often seen scribbling in a tiny notepad he carries with him wherever he goes. With Supathrive, he converts these ideas into meaningful, melodic vocals backed by rhythmic guitar riffs.
Jameson MacArthur has developed his bass style with numerous original projects, as well as with successful jazz and cover bands. In Supathrive he applies his innovative playing style, reinforcing the music with rhythmic power.
Matt Cherrill has been playing the skins since age of 14 and has been gigging with original bands since the age of 15. He punctuates Supathrive’s music with his steady beats and precise fills, while adding intensity and energy to the songs.
Together, these three have become an unstoppable force, much like the monsoon storms of their Arizona residence, creating and performing their music wherever and whenever possible.
