The Stringtown Pickers offer a fresh new take on traditional folk, bluegrass and Americana while still embracing rock and roll. The Stringtown Pickers combine many influences to deliver a diverse repertoire that appeals to a wide range of audiences. With shows often lasting five hours or more, the Stringtown Pickers entertain like few acoustic bands can. They are equally at home playing to bar crowds, festivals, and private parties. Their unique blend of acoustic stew draws from the full gamut of musical genres. Everything from bluegrass, newgrass, folk, roots, rock, reggae, and blues are represented on any given night. Stringtown strives to make each of their concerts a unique and memorable experience. While their high energy jam-based performances have earned them a rabid following, they like to keep their shows light-hearted and are guaranteed to surprise with some of their choices of covers and arrangements.

The Stringtown Pickers consist of Casey Keiner on mandolin, fiddle, and vocals, Chris Keiner on flat-pick guitar and vocals, Scott Nelson on bass fiddle and vocals, Dave Frye on banjo and vocals, and Dave Bigley on guitar and vocals.

In the late summer of 2004, The Stringtown Pickers played east of Columbus, Ohio at the Frontier Ranch at the Hookaville Fall festival. They played there with other bands such as the Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Hayseed Dixie, The Funky Meters, Rob Wasserman, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors, and ekoostik hookah. In 2005 The Stringtown Pickers played such festivals as the MagnoliaFest Midwest with artists such as Béla Fleck Acoustic Trio featuring Bryan Sutton and Casey Driessen, Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet with Bryn Bright & Sharon Gilchrist, Buddy Miller Band, David Gans, Buddy Miller Band, Drew Emmitt Band, Hot Buttered Rum String Band, Steep Canyon Rangers, Pinkham Family Band featuring Josh Pinkham, as well as many others. The Stringtown Pickers have also opened for such artists as The Drew Emmitt Band ( formerly of Leftover Salmon, and the Hackensaw Boys.
