'Do you want this? Do you trust this? Will you set yourself free?'From the start, StillLine has been a collision of ideals. What began as two bored twenty-somethings with an unhealthy passion for delay pedals and mid-90's alternative rock has gradually bloomed into a multi-genred pop-rock hydra with a thirst for the memorable. Choruses of cigarette-burned vocal bliss and mighty roaring power chords vanish suddenly into the lonely sullenness of a finger-picked Telecaster. Drummer-monkey beats with layered guitar twiddling give way to paleolithic palm mutin and 3-part harmonies. Bubble-gum sensibilities mate with passionate blues runs and unusual vocal effects in a category-blending incestual nirvana. StillLine is defined by the very eclecticisms that challenge listeners to evaluate what they look for in a rock band...All without losing sight of the radio-friendly song structure America knows and loves.Who are these confused musical-mixologists? From what backwater-of-rock-standard do they sulley forth? How can they expect to brashly disregard the rules of genre? It's easy. We play the music we wish we grew up with, by (not so humbly) borrowing from the music we all were subjected to.Lifehouse with an Icehouse and an agressive, Collective Soul.Pearl Jam's Tool-loving deadbeat child.A Staind version of what the Muse of rock intended.'What are you searching for? The person you knew before? Just look in the mirror, child; you're a stranger tonight.'
StillLine A band with a good fan base and on the rise. An all original band influenced by Collective Soul, Alice in Chains, Dredg, Flickerstick, Pearl Jam, and Our Lady Peace. With a distinctive sound compared to an aggressive Lifehouse or Collective soul.A band that loves what they do and enjoy meeting new friends.
