SoundChemist is a collaboration of notable players destined to make an impression on the music scene. The core of the group is made up of organ, bass, and drums. The sound of the trio ranges from funky, danceable grooves to harsh, dissonant improvisations to wonderfully ambient soundscapes. Conceptually, SoundChemist aims to keep ideas reacting in an organic and unpredictable state while going beyond the normal limitations of conventional sound.

Formed in the winter of 2003, the trio consists of Raulton Reichel (Ghetto Love Sugar, Funky Plumbers, Funk Like Whoa, J. Powell Quartet), Evan Bickerstaffe (Socrates, Horizon, Gainesville Groove League, Fluid Mosaic), and Nick Weber (Horizon, Whistling Beef, Revival Creek, Two Weeks Notice).
