The name Sokeedy'allbro means 'Everybodies Messed Up'. Looking in the mirror one morning after attending a party the night before, Lars, the singer and guitarist of the band, couldn't beleive how keed his eyes still were. After some thought he determined that everyone was messed up that night in one way or the other. Hence the name of the band 'Sokeedy'allbro'.
Lars and drummer Jaron Robertson have been playing together since 1994. They started out playing together in a grunge band that Lars started called 'Jokers Wild'. After three years of gigging around locally and on the road, the band cut a cd then broke up. A few months later Lars and Jaron started talks about a new project. Just two weeks before the scheduled date to hold auditions, Lars was playing guitar in a local music store where he ran into Tom Kirk who was an old aqaintence from high school. Tom mentioned that he played the bass and was looking for a project to hook up with. Skeptically Lars took his number. Lars called Tom a couple weeks later and arranged to meet with him. After a breif improv session, Tom turned out to be a perfect match for the new project.
With Lars's dynamic and somber baratone vocals, along with his blues licks and slanky telecaster funk progresions incorporated with Jarons very loud 'get in your face and thump till you dance' drums, in addition with Tom's flea like slap bass and jazz influences, has catipulted the trio into a new original kind of groove-funk, dance, rock-n-roll. The music of Sokeedy'allbro is as unpredicatable and captivating as the members. This band sounds just as good live if not better than they do on their CD. Lars, Tom, and Jaron, are very animated performers who love to get out on stage and turn some heads. Just like the name 'Sokeedy'allbro' Everybody is messed up with one problem or another, so why don't we all forget our differences and have a hell of a time.
