Not to be confused with the metal band recently using the same name, Slipknot has been at the forefront of improvisational rock and roll for many years. Our marathon sets of 90 minutes or more are packed with a variety of musical styles and extended jams. We enjoy playing creative, high energy music that is sure to keep you dancing. We mix original compositions with the music of classic artists like The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, The Band, Traffic, Little Feat, and many others.

Many established members of the classic rock community have been guests of and have jammed with Slipknot at shows, including past and present members of the Allman Brothers Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and the Grateful Dead.

Slipknot released it`s first studio CD of original music in 1997, with production help from Rod Libby, who worked extensively on award winning projects for Joe Cocker. They are currently at work on another studio release due out by end of 2001.

With 25+ years on the fore front of the jam band scene in New England, Slipknot is a frequent guest at the summer jam band festivals and can be heard live at some of the premier clubs in and around New England.
