SkYn was formed in late 2001. five guys got together and began jamming on what was to become their first collection of studio material. The songs are reminiscent of classic heavy metal, yet they reflect a progressive attitude toward the genre and thus avoid being cliche'. Their live show is a no frills in your face call to action which showcases the power and versatility of the band's songwriting and performing skills. If you are a fan of loud guitars, powerful vocals and imaginative driving beats, do not miss this band.
SkYn consists of five members currently, Billy James Hurst on vocals, Cam Tenney on guitar, Matt Fultz on guitar, Ross Misner on drums and Jay Allman on Bass. All are veterans of the local cover band club circut who got fed up with entertaining drunken ingrates. Do not ask them to play 'Wonderful Tonight.' It ain't gonna happen.
When the guys aren't out fighting international terrorism and child pornography in their red and blue tights, they can be found jamming in the garage, usually with a small entourage of beer swilling friends, working on new material or timing their next live show. SkYn will enter the studio in the spring of 2003 to record more hard rockin' riot causin' heavy metal music. Check out their website skyn.iwarp.com for some sample audio and contact info.
