Shifty Gears plays an eclectic, but up beat and inviting blend of rock, Reggae, Ska, folk, blues, country. The band plays mostly original tunes along with a few covers.

Shifty Gears was founded by Dan Raymond on lead vocals, rhythm guitars and lead guitar and Gregory Morris on bass guitar. Dan also carries the bulk of the song writing load. Mike Usrey joined on drums and backing vocals in early 2004 and handles most of the marketing and business arrangements. Brian Nutsch joined in 2005 on lead guitar and backing vocals. Shifty Gears is a group of seasoned musicians who love music and entertaining.

Shifty Gears played over 40 gigs in 2004 in diverse venues such as Front Range Community College, The Boulder Theater, the City and County of Broomfield, and various clubs.
