The origin of Shatter Hand is a story of progression

Tom, Wayne, and Rick were all members of a band called Exit 3. It was at this juncture that they found their styles meshed collectively. They eventually split from Exit 3 and decided to take up their own cause. Their intention was clear to them, they wanted to combine melody with a hard edge. Multiple layers and textures to a final piece. 3 of 5 pieces were set.

Writing material began. After a short while they realized they were onto something. The need of a singer was always understood, and now that the music had come together this need was moved to the forefront. Rick came in touch with John. Up to this point John was a singer without a band. Nothing seemed to fit, never the right scenes to tell a story with. After an audition, 4 of 5 pieces were set. A few weeks later Sean came to the practice space to jam. His bass was quickly realized to be the filler that had yet to be found, the correct underlying sound. 5 of 5 pieces were set.

Shatter Hand is now pursuing ears for their sound.
