Sawgrass was formed in 1998 in the Myrtle Beach area. All four of our members have such a wide variety of musical backgrounds, which helps create our unique sound. We play primarily in the Grand Strand area as well as Charleston. Playing together for 3 years now, we have really become a tight unit. Our songs are tight, our instrumentals are smokin, and our vocals are hair-raising! We truly love our music and it shows.

Sawgrass consists of Jody Harrison on guitar,, Robert Steuer on mandolin, Sammy Jones on Banjo, and Don Robertson on bass. Occassionally, Raleigh-native Tab Kearns joins us with his dobro.

Sawgrass has opened up for Acoustic Syndicate, Leftover Salmon, Blueground Undergrass, Blueridge, and hosted a number of our showcases, and even a featured sit-in with Mark Brian from Hootie. 2002 will be the year of our debut album, Sawgrass, should be the event of our lives!!
