'SPIROS' was founded by Lead Vocalist, Brett Keyser and Drummer, Rick Bishop in the spring of 1998 in Spartanburg, SC. It all started when the two were working together at a Go-Kart track and learned of how each other had played guitar and drums before. After a little talking, Brett and Rick decided to form a band. Starting out first with the name 'In-8-Faith' then to 'Final Destination' and ultimately to 'SPIROS'. They quickly gelled and within a few months they found 2 more guitar players in Justin Brutosky and Ken Creswell. And with the guidance of their Lord and Savior, the mission to reach the youth of today through Christian Rock along with a message of salvation began.

SPIROS stands for 'Spiritual Pirates In Retaliation Of Satan'. The mission of this band is to reach out to the youth of today and show them that being a Christian is 'cool'. The band plays a STYLE of Christian Rock similar to Lloyd, Plankeye, Small Town Poets and The Waiting. But their SOUND really is a cross between Nirvana and the Goo Goo Dolls. The band is very young and is just starting out. They are very anxious and excited to be able to minister to youth by lifting up the name of Jesus with hard, rockin' Christian Rock & Roll!
