SLICK WATTS
Band Biography

  • From: BELLINGHAM, WA
  • No. of Members: 4
  • Year Established: 1996

From the bowels of Bellingham Washington lots of music is created and regurgitated but none so original and creative as that of SLICK WATTS. The current line-up of SLICK WATTS was put together by sending out a test pattern of hypnotic rays on cable access television and those that responded became the menbers of SLICK WATTS. The poor souls who have found themeselves trapped is this web of lies, deceit and pervision are as follows:Dave Donnelly---Bass, Bkg. Vocals---Scott Greene--Guitar, Bkg Vocals----Andy Gault--Drums----Dave Watts--Vocals, Guitar, & Trumpet

Together these 4 fine young gentlemen formed and created a type of music that's not only lovely to listen to but easy on the eyes. Described by some as a mix of funk, ska, hard rock, punk, metal, swing stuff SLICK WATTS is quickly becoming a local favorite and plan to spread their musical disease all across the nation turning anyone with ears into a faithful SLICKSTER.

With the release of their first album 'Over Thirty Years Of Family Fun' in Nov. 1997, SLICK WATTS played all over the pacific northwest including Washington, Oregon, Idaho & Montana. The album sold out quickly and recieved great reviews. Then, in Dec. 1999, SLICK WATTS released their second full length album 'Monkey For The People'. The band hopes to be able to reach a wider audience and be able to play all over the country. SLICK WATTS' live shows are definitely a sight to be seen. Fans always leave with a smile on thier face and the feeling of getting their two-bits worth and then some.

Here are some choice words about SLICK WATTS:SLICK WATTS is the cooles new wave-funk-jazz-ska-metal band in Bellingham. They rock hard but with a wink and a smile insted of attitude. Just a fun band any way you look at it. Sean Spain, Whats Up Magazine----Fusing fluid elements of brassy ska, velvety funk riffs, meaty rock chops and classic rock-n-blues percussion with vical soundbites in the guise of subtly provocative lyrical compositions, SLICK WATTS' debut full length, 'Over Thirty Years Of Family Fun' is a remarkable, refined feat for a band who refuses to pegionhole and stifle its creative genius for the ske of sales. Tina Potterf, The Rocket----SLICK WATTS remains one of my favorite Bellingham bands. Dave Watts' stage presence is always frenetic and entertaining. SLICK WATTS music is exciting, well constructed and delivered with a windmill punch. Pooner Clark, The Every Other Weekly----SLICK WATTS is one of the most exciting bands in live performance. The boys bounce and flail wildly but always stay on the mark. Its high energy rock-n-roll. If you don't mind music that hits you over the head with reality, these guys are your band. The vocals are strong, the guitar playing snotty, the bass and drums dynamic. This band is fun. Wayne Ellis, The Every Other Weekly----
