Rusted Clay features, singer/songwriter, guitarist, Russ Ward, Mandolin, guitar, banjo, vocalist Larry Albert and bassist and vocal Steve Rigsby. Each member has played for years but joined forces in 2000 during Ward's release of his solo debut Life Lessons. Larry and Russ had played together in another band Caney Creek a revivalist Folk Group with a regional following, while Steve handled all the bands in the region for sound, production and instrument repairs. He also plays with the White Horse String Band. They have all played a variety of groups over the years. From Bluegrass to Rock, to country and traditional, to the new acoustic Americana style.
