Formerly known as Jonny and the Robba, The Robba's sound has been described as raw urban hip hop with a cow shed twist. Jonny and the Robba was formed by cousins Jonny Low and Robert Harris in March 2004 and was based in Auckland. Before this the Robba made electronic based songs since he was 14.Jonny and the Robba were winners of the Coke Launchpad competition in 2004 and shot a $10,000 (NZD) video clip for their debut single 'Damn Girl' as a result of winning this competition.Jonny left the band and the song writer Robba is now a solo artist like Trent Reznor or Micheal Jackson.
