Rising Conviction was born in the late 90's by to loving parents Maalox Kranson (vocals) and LaFave (membranophones). Tangibilitometer master Briin joined up in early 2000, followed by the bottom feeder Orfield a few months later. The band hit it hard in with the first show in April 2001 at a benefit show for Absolute Martial Arts in tempe, and hasn't looked back since.
Rising Conviction's most important feature its its ability to maintain a distiction between each member's style, and to come together with each quite evident. Maalox's rough voice, inspired by bands such as Girls Against Boys and Henry Rollins, threatens to destroy the crowd with its low slung boom, while Briin and Orfield lay down the phychodelia, all converging to attack when LaFave begins to mortar the crowd.
The band is currently in the studio recording the first EP. Look for it in Zia Record stores, and on local radio spotslights all around Arizona in early 2002. The cd will also be available on the band's website.
