Rhino2Rhino is an eclectic indie-rock trio from Boulder, Colorado. Their unique sound is a result of diverse musical influences and extensive use of three-part vocal harmonies.
Their first CD, a self-titled album consisting of twelve original songs, was released in the winter of 1996. It garnered praise from both The Denver Post and Rover Magazine. Rhino2Rhino also experimented with acoustic instruments, including a high-tech handmade washtub bass. The 1998 result was Nein Lives, a nine song EP exploring the possibilities of electric and acoustic renditions of their material.
Rhino2Rhino's 1999 release, Planeterrarium, is their best-sounding and most accessible album to date. Although the songs cover a wide range of musical terrain, the overall sound is cohesive and the impact is immediate. Planeterrarium has already been praised my the Boulder Daily Camera and various moguls of the Colorado music scene.
The band continues to perform locally will tour nationally in 2000.
