Radio Theory began as an acoustic duo in Phoenix in the summer of 1997. We were founded by Len Rosen, our main writer, when he was fed up with just playing the coffeehouse scene. The duo took off rising, bringing in various friends to jam with them at different shows, and recorded their first album in the winter of '98-'99. After releasing it to great reviews, the band went through various lineup changes , ending up with Len on Guitars, Keys, and Vocals, David Rosen on Drums and Percussion, and Brian Lewis on the Bass. Their friend Raymond also plays with them at many of the shows when their schedules coincide.

The band's music has evolved from a simple acoustic project to a full on powerful Organic Rock band. We can swing from a light pretty acoustic based number, to a total funky electrified jam at the drop of a hat. We have recieved many comparisons to the H.O.R.D.E. style bands, such as Dave Matthews and Blues Traveler, but seem to be able to please all ages and musical preferences. We are not just your typical noodling Jam Band... we got the heart, the soul, but also the substance behind it all!

We've started doing some regional touring and are currently expanding out circle of influence. We've opened for such notables as The Moody Blues, and played with members of Billy Pilgrim, Shawn Mullins' backing band, and many others. Each month brings us in front of new people, new places, and more Jams than you can shake a stick at!
