Psycho Sun started to play in 1995. Their early sound was a cocktail of new-wave, psychedelia and noise. Their first two demo-tapes ( Feb1995- Extra Sugar Coffee/Feb 1996- Sugar Candy) anticipate Placebo’s sonic refractions, wink at the Sonic Youth’s punk-noise, drown into the gloomy wave of The Cure, glazing everything with the glamour pop of an overexposed film. Rock magazines notice that ( Mucchio Selvaggio, Rockstar, Fare Musica, Musica! ); the Tuscany indie label “Sottosopra” deals out the two Demos. The national radio “RAI STEREO DUE” plays the song “Mary has left my hand” during all the Summer 1996. The new indie label “Magenta Rec.”, releases in September 1997 “EverReady”: the first cd of the Italian band. A lot of gigs all over Italy as headliner or with other big bands ( Afterhours, Santo niente, Uzeda), the live performance on a national tv, a lot of reviews, radio shows and festivals. Unfortunatelly Magenta Rec. closes at the end of 1998. During the same year Psycho Sun start with a new sound that remember the best Beat Scene, with the same punk attitude and new lo-fi guitar sounds.

2000 A new idea….a do-it-yourself production …a new single. To manage ourselves, to sell our cds with a really special price…a little label- management named “Cool Club” that works for psycho sun and other bands, organizing gigs, festivals, and producing records and compilations. The single “Psycho Sun” released in March 2000, is sold out in June 2000. A lot of gigs all over Italy, radio shows, excellent reviews.

2001 The track “Come tu mi vuoi” is on the compilation nopassingphase #1 ( London, 2002 ), with other Bands: Craig B (Aereogramme), Gav Baker (Billy Mahonie), Herrod, Hookers Green #1, San Quentin, SmouThe Dudley Corporation, The Green Acre, The Last Of The Real Hard Men + The!Lights! Alive!, etc 2002 A new single “Supervixen” shows the new Psychos’ sound: a new punk-garage near to the Hives or the Strokes. A mini-tour in U.K. in April permits them to play their new songs abroad and to organize a new tour in U.K. for the end of 2002. Meanwhile COOLCLUB started to organize gigs for Italian and foreigner bands ( Asian Dub Foundation, Patton, Econoline, Embrooks, Feel Good Prod. ….) ; festivals ( Arezzo Wave,… ). Lecce now is a point for all the bands that want to play in South-Italy, thank’s to CoolClub.

Now Psycho Sun and CoolCLub are looking for Bands, Labels and Managements that want to work with us...so we can work for you here and you will do the same for me there. :)
