Promised Land came together in 1996, with the idea of taking God's message through music to the community. Danny & Paula decided to form a group to achieve this goal, and when they met up with Matt, the 'trio' clicked immediately, and took the band to the next level. By adding Dan, the band took on a brand new sound and energy.

The band is made up of Matt Gleeson on acoustic lead/rhythm guitar, Paula Remington on bass guitar/percussion, Danny Remington on acoustic/electric lead/rhythm guitar, and Dan Bagley on drums/percussion.

Promised Land is never at a loss for original material. Matt has over 180 songs to his credit, both secular and Christian. His influence has rubbed off on Danny & Paula, as they have started writing original material as well.

The band plays what they affectionately call 'acoustic Gospel music'. Although Danny does play the electric on some songs, the acoustic sound always comes through. The music is not quite what you hear today on the radio. It's different and they are proud of that. The music and lyrics are put together wonderfully, and the message is there.
