PopSuicide is a rock band from the American Midwest. PopSuicide plays all original music consisting of short, catchy, guitar-driven songs written by guitarist/singer Alex Porter. The band was founded by Alex with drummer Steve Fuller. PopSuicide played for a short while before replacing the original bass player with current bassist Erik Hollander. PopSuicide loves to play live more than anything. The live show is full of energy, with the audience being the main importance for the band. The crowd finds a connection with the music of PopSuicide which can best be described as a “heavy pop.” The best musical example is a style similar to the Foo Fighters mixed with Black Sabbath mixed with Nirvana. The performance level of PopSuicide is what has set this band apart from all other bands with which they’ve shared the stage. The focus of PopSuicide is direct simple music and a live act that defines the impact of raw, urgent, rock music, played at an edge of control and chaos rarely seen in bands in the modern market. PopSuicide is music and performance that is an unforgettable example of energy and power.
