PocketSchwa. This extremely unique and inspiring band was formed over a small period of Monday night open jams that took place at a small club (the Khyber) in Philly. Through these improvisational jams, a sound was captured by the four members, that explores various forms of musical influence. From Bach to Metallica, the Police to Willy Nelson, The Grateful Dead to Miles Davis, its all in there somewhere, meshing to create a tight pocket yet stay nuetral (Schwa?)

Mike Hannigan, Chris Kasper, Colin Helb, and Mike 'Slick' Lebowitz can get anyone into the deep grooves that they explore. Bending time and rythym, into a flow that the listener cannot escape.
