Overtime was originally formed to be a part time Beach Music Band in 1986 by our Keyboardist, Bo Newcomb and has been entertaining crowds constantly and without any downtime ever since. Greg Browder, our Featured Vocalist and Sax Player extraordinaire, was one of the first members of Overtime and has been with Overtime since shortly after it was formed. T originally joined the band in 1988 and was the band's bassist until going to Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in 1992. He has run sound and done production for the Band for a number of years since he got out of school and subsequently returned to the area. In June of 2006, T got the fateful call to play bass for a local group named Crossfire where JJ was the Guitarist. Greg soon was adding his vocals and horns to Crossfire in September of 2006 and the chemistry was immediate! The trio knew that JJ had to be a part of anything they did in the future. In January of 2007, the timing was right as the 3 newest members of Overtime left to devote more time to their primary band.

Now featuring five dedicated, professional, and veteran members from the area's most successful and established bands, Overtime has been reborn and reinvigorated with an energetic, fresh, and entertaining group of pros. Our current lineup can comfortably state that cumulatively, our members have been entertaining crowds for well over 125 years! We have put together a very extensive and flexible repertoire that is guaranteed to please any listener with music that spans the decades. Our song list is very extensive and currently includes many Wedding Standards, Dance, Pop, Classic and Southern Rock, Beach, Blues, Motown, and Old School R & B songs. All of the music is played live and in a style reminiscent of days long gone by. Overtime is commited to bring you a taste of the way music used to be performed before the age of sampling and sequencing took the place of live musicians and live vocalists went the way of the 45. Interestingly enough, we can also play countless other songs that are not on the 'current' list that go back as many as 20, 30, and in some cases even 40 years or more! Overtime continues to use musicianship and a true love and respect for the music to bring you both a world class level of performance, and an entertaining trip down the memory lanes of your life at every engagement that we do.

It is a running joke with some of our clients that we have removed more songs from our current list than a lot of bands will actually learn during their lifespan! Our Beach music smash hit 'Two Loves Have I' was nominated for a Cammy award in 1990 and our Signature Songs 'Black Drawers', Van Morrison's 'Into the Mystic', and our latest single, 'Boardwalk Angel' continue to be highly requested at every engagement we do! We are considered a high-energy dance band and most find it extremely difficult to keep their seat for long at our shows!
